Saint Aidan's Day
Today is the feast day of one of the Abbey's kindred spirits of antiquity, Saint Aidan. Although very little of his life was preserved with confidence, what we DO know is more than enough to admire him and find inspiration.
The Abbey-dwellers and some friends will be heading down to Fado's pseudo-authentic Irish pub after dinner tonight to commemorate him with a few minutes of reverent storytelling and table banter.
